{"id":552311,"date":"2026-01-29T20:11:11","date_gmt":"2026-01-29T20:11:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/552311\/"},"modified":"2026-01-29T20:11:11","modified_gmt":"2026-01-29T20:11:11","slug":"where-to-watch-and-celebrate-womens-basketball-this-weekend","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/552311\/","title":{"rendered":"Where to watch and celebrate women\u2019s basketball this weekend"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Unrivaled 3v3 league is in Philly this week, bringing professional women\u2019s basketball back to the city for the first time since 1998, and ahead of Philly getting <a href=\"https:\/\/billypenn.com\/2025\/06\/30\/at-last-philly-to-get-wnba-franchise-in-2030\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">its own WNBA team in 2030<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The Xfinity Mobile Arena will host <a href=\"https:\/\/www.unrivaled.basketball\/tours\/2026\/philly\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">a doubleheader Friday night<\/a>. Tickets sold out a while ago, though some can be found on the secondary markets and there\u2019s a few chances to win some. Both games are airing live on TNT and truTV, and streaming on HBO Max.<\/p>\n<p>The games pit:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Breeze against Phantom, which includes Delco native Natasha Cloud on the roster, at 7:30 p.m.<\/li>\n<li>The defending champion Rose \u2014 North Philly native and <a href=\"https:\/\/billypenn.com\/2024\/08\/12\/paris-summer-olympic-games-team-usa-pennsylvania-nj-delaware-athletes-results\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Olympic gold medalist<\/a> Kahleah Copper plays for them \u2014 against the Lunar Owls at 8:45 p.m.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you aren\u2019t able to snag tickets, here are some of the events around town that are linked to the return of women\u2019s professional basketball to Philly, as well as the next day\u2019s games in Miami.<\/p>\n<p>Thursday<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/billypenn.com\/2025\/09\/11\/marshas-south-street-chivonn-anderson-opening\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Marsha\u2019s on South Street<\/a> is tipping off the basketball celebrations Thursday night with a \u201cBlack Lesbians are Unrivaled Happy Hour,\u201d in partnership with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/mouthofrain\/?hl=en\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Mouth of Rain<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/sisterssportsgroup.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">the Philadelphia Sisters<\/a>, from 4 to 6 p.m. After that is a hype party from 7 to 11 p.m., which will include a ticket giveaway for Friday\u2019s games.
