{"id":552427,"date":"2026-01-29T21:21:10","date_gmt":"2026-01-29T21:21:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/552427\/"},"modified":"2026-01-29T21:21:10","modified_gmt":"2026-01-29T21:21:10","slug":"i-30-to-close-through-downtown-dallas-again","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/552427\/","title":{"rendered":"I-30 to close through downtown Dallas \u2014 again"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>For the second time this month, Interstate\u201330 through downtown Dallas will close\u00a0this weekend\u00a0for construction.<\/p>\n<p>All lanes will be closed between I-35E and the I-45\/U.S. 75 interchange beginning Friday at 10 p.m. They\u2019ll reopen Monday, Feb. 2, at 5 a.m.<\/p>\n<p>A detour will be placed on Spur 366\/Woodall Rodgers Freeway.<\/p>\n<p>Cesar Chavez Boulevard, Cadiz Street and Akard Street are also closed along I-30. Dallas commuters should expect heavy traffic and delays in the area.<\/p>\n<p>The work is part of the $888 million I-30 Canyon corridor improvement project between I-35 and I-45 interchanges.<\/p>\n<p>The Texas Department of Transportation advises drivers to be cautious in construction zones and plan ahead to find alternative routes, and expect additional travel time.<\/p>\n<p>Avery Escamilla-Wendell is KERA\u2019s news intern.
