Approximately 125 management employees were impacted by this difficult decision. These employees will be provided with robust support during this transition, including competitive severance and employment transition services. The decision reflects the company\u2019s commitment to aligning resources with business needs and will help ensure that CSX continues to deliver for all of our stakeholders.<\/p>\n<p>CSX spokesperson<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.jaxdailyrecord.com\/news\/2025\/jul\/10\/jacksonville-stocks-mostly-left-behind-in-market-rebound\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.jaxdailyrecord.com\/news\/2025\/jul\/10\/jacksonville-stocks-mostly-left-behind-in-market-rebound\/\">According to a new report from the Jacksonville Daily Record<\/a>, CSX stock recorded a minimal gain (1%) in the first half of 2025.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">Jacksonville\u2019s other big freight transportation company, Landstar System Inc., dropped 19%.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">Baird analyst Daniel Moore, who rates both companies at \u201coutperform,\u201d thinks President Donald Trump\u2019s tax and spending cut bill could help transportation and logistics companies.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">\u201cWhile still advancing through the legislative process, the House version offers a blend of business and household incentives that aligns with the kind of stimulus that has historically marked the beginning of a freight recovery,\u201d Moore said in a July 1 report before Congress passed the bill July 3.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">Moore thinks the bill could trigger bigger stimulus in the first year than some estimates are suggesting.
