LA JOLLA, Calif. \u2013<\/strong> UC San Diego captured a win over Point Loma in their first home match of the season, clinching the match 4-0. The Tritons took the doubles point and continued to dominate in singles, winning all three finished matches in straight sets.

\nHOW IT HAPPENED<\/strong>
\nUC San Diego started the match strong winning the doubles point. Freshman Olivia Allegre<\/a> and junior Julia Visaya<\/a> took court 6-2, grad student Hana Gamracy<\/a> and freshman Carling Allaye-Chan<\/a> followed with a 6-3 victory on court two to earn the Tritons’ first point. This left Varsha Jawadi<\/a> and Kamya Nair<\/a> unfinished on court three where they led 5-2.

\nLansky at No. 3 earned the Tritons their next point 6-2, 6-2. Following at No. 2 Allaye-Chan also topped her opponent 6-2, 6-2 to make it 3-0 Tritons. Lian clinched the match at No. 5 with a 6-3, 6-0 straight-set victory. The three remaining singles were left unfinished but no Triton dropped a set before play ended.
