San Antonio police say 25-year-old Walter Whiten is wanted in connection with the June 2025 shooting death of 32-year-old Allan \u201cParis\u201d Roquemore.<\/p>\n
SAN ANTONIO \u2014 More than seven months after a deadly shooting near downtown San Antonio, police are still searching for the man they believe killed a father of a young girl.<\/p>\n
San Antonio police say 25-year-old Walter Whiten is wanted in connection with the June 21, 2025, shooting death of 32-year-old Allan \u201cParis\u201d Roquemore. Investigators believe Roquemore was shot outside a bar off North Alamo Street following an argument with Whiten.<\/p>\n
According to police, Whiten fled the scene on foot and has not been arrested.<\/p>\n
For the first time, the mother of Roquemore\u2019s daughter is speaking publicly, hoping renewed attention will help lead to an arrest.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe was a such a loving human, so funny, he was a goofball,” Autumn Area said. “I mean he could walk in a room and light it up.\u201d<\/p>\n
Area shared video of her daughter speaking at her father\u2019s memorial last summer, describing the close bond they shared.<\/p>\n
Area said she and Roquemore had been separated for several years but maintained a strong co-parenting relationship. She said he was planning to move to Houston to be closer to his only child.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe was such a great father,\u201d Area said. \u201cShe loved going over. He gave her that best friend and dad vibe.\u201d<\/p>\n
Area said she and her daughter visit Roquemore\u2019s grave nearly every week and credit their faith for helping them cope with the loss.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe had that bond with the Lord before he passed, and that gives me a little bit of ease,\u201d Area said. \u201cBut at the same time, it shouldn\u2019t have happened. I wish I could have hugged him one more time and told him I loved him.\u201d<\/p>\n
She said her family is now focused on keeping Roquemore\u2019s memory alive while pushing for justice.<\/p>\n
\u201cI hope they find him,” she said.<\/p>\n
