With a mini heat wave forecast to peak Thursday, the Los Angeles County Health Department warned the public to avoid ocean waters at several beaches due to high bacteria levels.<\/p>\n
The affected beaches are:<\/p>\n
\u2014 Topanga Canyon Beach in Malibu, 100 yards up and down the coast from the lagoon;<\/p>\n
\u2014 Solstice Creek at Dan Blocker County Beach, 100 yards up and down the coast from the creek;<\/p>\n
\u2014 Walnut Creek at Paradise Cove, 100 yards up and down the coast from the creek;<\/p>\n
\u2014 Ramirez Creek at Paradise Cove, 100 yards up and down the coast from the pier;<\/p>\n
\u2014 Mothers Beach in Marina Del Rey, entire swim area;<\/p>\n
\u2014 Castlerock Storm Drain at Topanga County Beach, 100 yards up and down the coast from the storm drain; and<\/p>\n
\u2014 Santa Monica Pier, 100 yards up and down the coast from the pier.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, a warning has been lifted for the following beach area where recent sample results identified water quality levels within state standards:<\/p>\n
\u2014 The Bel Air Bay Club at Will Rogers State Beach.<\/p>\n
