PHOENIX (AZFamily)<\/b> \u2014 Crews rescued a hiker and mountain biker off Phoenix-area mountains back-to-back Saturday morning. <\/p>\n

Just before 10:30 a.m., first responders were dispatched to Westwing Mountain <\/a>in Peoria for reports of a man who hurt his knee near the top of the trail.<\/p>\n

The man was taken off the mountain using a big-wheel rescue device and released to a friend for a ride home, according to Peoria Fire-Medical Department. <\/p>\n

\"AA mountain biker was hurt after crashing on a trail on South Mountain on Saturday morning.(Phoenix Fire and Medical)<\/p>\n

Around 11:30 a.m., Phoenix and Chandler crews responded to the Desert Classic Trail on South Mountain<\/a> after a mountain biker crashed and hurt his shoulder.<\/p>\n

Firefighters used a big-wheel to bring the man down before he was taken to a hospital in stable condition.<\/p>\n
