\n\tThe 1,000th regular episode of Saturday Night Live<\/a> saw Pete Davidson<\/a> return to lecture Immigration and Customs Enforcement amid ongoing tensions in Minneapolis<\/a>. <\/p>\n

\n\tSNL<\/a> alumni Pete Davidson joined the cold open to portray White House Border Czar Tom Homan, who was sent there \u201cin response to the chaotic situation in Minnesota\u201d to meet with \u201cICE<\/a> unit commanders to clarify the mission objectives.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cMy name is Tom Homan,\u201d Davidson began. \u201cNow I\u2019m sure a lot of you are wondering why Greg Bovino, the last guy, was dismissed. I wanna stress that it wasn\u2019t because he did a bad job or publicly lied about the shooting of an American citizen or even, oh, dressed like a Nazi. It was that he was filmed doing these things.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\tThe King of Staten Island star continued, \u201cI\u2019m here now and we need to tighten up. That starts with remembering the mission objective. Now, who could tell me why we\u2019re here in Minneapolis?\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tOne faux ICE agent merely said, \u201cPass,\u201d while another responded, \u201cThis could be wrong, but Army.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tDavidson\u2019s Homan responded, \u201cThat\u2019s close. We\u2019re here to detain and deport illegal immigrants who have committed crimes.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThat is literally the first I\u2019m hearing of that,\u201d one ICE agent offered as a response. Still, Davidson\u2019s Homan tried to steer the group on track.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cForget everything you were told before. We\u2019re not here to intimidate, racially profile or violate anyone\u2019s rights. So again, what are we looking for?\u201d he questioned, to which an agent responded, \u201cEpstein files.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cNope, we actually just released those to distract from this, you know, which is ironic because we did this to distract from those,\u201d he replied. <\/p>\n

\n\tDavidson served as an\u00a0SNL\u00a0cast member from 2014-2022. He has since returned to host the sketch comedy series, and has made several cameos over the years. The comedian\u2019s surprise appearance came as his second of season 51 \u2014 he previously joined the \u201cWeekend Update\u201d segment<\/a> during the Nov. 8 show. There, he and Colin Jost traded jokes about the ferry they purchased together<\/a>\u00a0years ago.<\/p>\n

\n\tAlexander Skarsg\u00e5rd made his SNL hosting debut during the Jan. 31 show, while Cardi B<\/a> returned for her sophomore appearance on the sketch-comedy series. (The \u201cUp\u201d rapper previously appeared on the April 7, 2018, episode alongside Chadwick Boseman.)<\/p>\n

\n\tDuring his monologue, the Pillion actor joked about his Swedish heritage: \u201cNow, when I was a kid, I loved watching this show from my igloo back in Stockholm.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cBut during these monologues, I would never focus on the host,\u201d he continued. \u201cI was more interested in the band back there in the background, sometimes laughing, more often than not.\u201d Alexander went on to join the SNL band to play the saxophone. <\/p>\n

\n\tAnd in another surprise moment, Alexander\u2019s father, Stellan Skarsg\u00e5rd made a cameo during two separate sketches. The first saw The Moment actor and Chloe Fineman play a Swedish sibling duo who, in between takes of the faux film, laugh at their character\u2019s story of their family problems. Towards the end of the bit, they meet with their father, played by Stellan, in a bathtub, where he is ready to die.<\/p>\n

\n\tIn the second bit, a new iteration of SNL\u2018s \u201cImmigrant Dad Talk Show\u201d bit, Stellan appeared once more. Though they were also joined by Cardi B, who served as the night\u2019s musical performer, to play Marcello Hern\u00e1ndez\u2019s character\u2019s wife.<\/p>\n

\n\tAfter the first bit the Oscar nominee appeared in was over, SNL announced Heated Rivalry star Connor Storrie will serve as the next host<\/a> for the Feb. 28 episode, with Mumford & Sons as musical guest.<\/p>\n

\n\tSNL also shared a tribute<\/a> to Catherine O\u2019Hara<\/a> at the end of the episode.<\/p>\n
