{"id":559073,"date":"2026-02-01T17:26:17","date_gmt":"2026-02-01T17:26:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/559073\/"},"modified":"2026-02-01T17:26:17","modified_gmt":"2026-02-01T17:26:17","slug":"dallas-police-use-license-plate-reader-to-bust-stolen-mercedes-mail-theft-suspect","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/559073\/","title":{"rendered":"Dallas Police Use License Plate Reader To Bust Stolen Mercedes, Mail Theft Suspect"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n                            Items recovered by Dallas police during a vehicle search, including altered keys and tools tied to suspected mail theft activity | Image courtesy of Dallas Police Department                        <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"277\" data-end=\"502\">Officers with the <strong data-start=\"295\" data-end=\"336\">Northeast Crime Response Team<\/strong> arrested a suspect connected to a stolen vehicle and uncovered evidence of additional criminal activity following a proactive response in Northeast Dallas last week.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"504\" data-end=\"790\"><a href=\"https:\/\/dpdbeat.com\/2026\/01\/31\/great-work-by-the-northeast-crime-response-team\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">According<\/a> to police, officers responded January 29 to a FLOCK license plate reader alert identifying a stolen Mercedes GLE that had been reported stolen from <strong data-start=\"662\" data-end=\"703\">Dallas\/Fort Worth International Airport<\/strong>. Officers located the vehicle near the intersection of Audelia Road and Walnut Street.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"792\" data-end=\"921\">Police said the suspect, identified as Loi Lien, 35, was found asleep inside the vehicle and taken into custody without incident.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"923\" data-end=\"1129\">During an inventory search of the vehicle, officers located property belonging to Lien.
