Real Madrid<\/a> legend Guti has come out in strong support of Xabi Alonso following Los Blancos\u2019 heavy 4-0 defeat to Paris Saint-Germain in the semi-finals of the Club World Cup in New Jersey.<\/p>\n

The result was a bitter blow for Madridistas, who had high expectations for the team under Alonso, especially after an impressive run leading into the tournament. But Guti, speaking to DAZN after the match, urged patience and defended his former teammate\u2019s long-term vision.<\/p>\n

\u201cXabi knows that as Real Madrid manager, everything counts,\u201d Guti admitted. \u201cBut I\u2019m with him, I\u2019m with him.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The former midfielder acknowledged the disappointment but cautioned against overreacting to one result in an intense, short-format competition like the Club World Cup.<\/p>\n

PSG manager Luis Enrique shared similar support to Alonso after the game:<\/p>\n

Alonso himself admitted that Real Madrid are still levels from where they need to be, and that seeing what happened last night was important.<\/p>\n

\u201cI would say PSG are at a different level to everyone,\u201d Alonso said. \u201cWe are not the first ones to hang a strong defeat against them. Not thinking about Paris, but we have clear things we want to improve to get to that level.<\/p>\n
