After composing himself, he spoke in Spanish to thank God, the Recording Academy, his mother and everyone who worked on the album. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\t\u201cI want to dedicate this award to all the people that had to leave their homeland, their country, to follow their dreams,\u201d he said in English.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tWhen the 2026 nominations were first announced late last year, Bad Bunny became the first Spanish-language artist to earn nods for best album, record and song in one year. He also won best\u00a0m\u00fasica urbana\u00a0album and best global music performance for \u201cEoO\u201d Sunday night, plus he was nominated for the new category of best album cover.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tThis is the latest milestone in Bad Bunny\u2019s already impressive career. Three years ago, his album \u201cUn Verano Sin Ti\u201d became the first Spanish-language release to earn a\u00a0Grammy\u00a0nomination for album of the year, though he lost to Harry Styles\u2019 \u201cHarry\u2019s House.\u201d <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tBad Bunny previously won three Grammys, two for best m\u00fasica \u00farban album (\u201cUn Verano Sin Ti\u201d in 2023 and \u201cEl \u00daltimo Tour Del Mundo\u201d in 2022) and one for best latin pop or urban album (\u201cYHLQMDLG\u201d in 2021). He\u2019s received 16 nominations in his career so far.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tNext week, he\u2019ll perform at the Super Bowl halftime show in his highly anticipated debut as headliner. He had previously appeared as a guest during Jennifer Lopez and Shakira\u2019s 2020 performance. However, President Donald Trump and many of his conservative supporters criticized the NFL\u2019s selection of Bad Bunny. Trump has said that he will not be in attendance of the game and threatened that ICE officials will be there.
