\n\tBad Bunny won Album of the Year for Deb\u00ed Tirar M\u00e1s Fotos tonight at the 68th annual Grammy Awards<\/a> after Kendrick Lamar took Record of the Year for his Luther Vandross tribute \u201cLuther\u201d and Billie Eilish and her brother Finneas O\u2019Connell won Song of the Year for \u201cWildflower.\u201d All of them made history Sunday night during the ceremony at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. <\/p>\n

\n\tUnlike the Golden Globes<\/a> last month, politics was a main topic for host Trevor Noah and many of tonight\u2019s winners. Bad Bunny, who will perform during at the Super Bowl Halftime Show<\/a> next week, made Grammy history with the first Spanish-language disc to win Album of the Year. He began his speech with a message to his fellow Puerto Ricans. \u201cI want to dedicate this award to all the people who had to leave their homeland, their country to follow their dreams,\u201d he said in part. <\/p>\n

\n\tLamar became the first male artist and first rapper to win back-to-back Record of the Year prizes, though presenter Cher muffed the announcement after nearly leaving the stage before naming the nominees:<\/p>\n

\n\tEarlier in the main telecast, Lamar won Best Rap Album for GNX, passing Jay-Z for the most career Grammys by a rapper<\/a>. During the Premiere Ceremony earlier, he won Best Rap Song for \u201ctv off,\u201d Best Melodic Rap Performance for \u201cluther\u201d with SZA and Best Arrangement, Instruments and Vocals for \u201cBig Fish.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tEilish and Finneas set a Grammys<\/a> record with their third Song of the Year prize, this one for \u201cWildflower.\u201d The pair triumphed for \u201cBad Guy\u201d in 2020 and \u201cWhat Was I Made For?\u201d from Barbie in 2024. \u201cAs grateful as I feel, I honestly don\u2019t feel like I need to say anything but that no one is illegal on stolen land,\u201d Eilish said in accepting. The former record of two Song of the Years Grammys was shared by more than a dozen songwriters.<\/p>\n

\n\tOlivia Dean won Best New Artist, which was presented by last year\u2019s winner<\/a> Chappel Roan. \u201cI guess I want to say I\u2019m up here as the granddaughter of an immigrant,\u201d Dean said onstage<\/a>. \u201cI\u2019m a product of bravery, and I think those people deserve to be celebrated. We\u2019re nothing without each other.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tBad Bunny picked up his fourth, fifth and sixth career Grammys tonight. Earlier he took Best M\u00fasica Urbana Album for Deb\u00ed Tirar M\u00e1s Fotos. \u201cBefore I say thanks to God, I\u2019m gonna say \u2018ICE out,’\u201d he said onstage<\/a> to a huge cheer (watch the ovation here<\/a>). \u201cWe\u2019re not savage, we\u2019re not animals, we\u2019re not aliens, we are humans and we are Americans. \u2026 The hate gets more powerful with more hate. \n\tLady Gaga ran her career career Grammy haul to 17, taking Best Pop Vocal Album for Mayhem after taking her 15th and 16th during the preshow. \u201cI just want to say for women in music that I know sometimes when you\u2019re in the studio with a bunch of guys, it can be hard. So I urge you to always listen to yourself and always fight for your ideas, fight for your songs, fight for yourself as a producer. Make sure that you are heard.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\tThe broadcast kicked off with Ros\u00e9 & Bruno Mars tearing through their international smash \u201cApt.,\u201d and Sabrina Carpenter<\/a> followed a airport-themed take on \u201cManchild,\u201d complete with bleeped expletives. Both were up for Song and Record of the Year. Justin Bieber later played \u201cYukon\u201d shirtless and solo. Lady Gaga performed \u201cAbracadabra\u201d in a typically wild outfit. Mars & The Hooligans did a horns-drenched \u201cI Just Might.\u201d Tyler, The Creator did a wildly choreographed take on \u201cThought I Was Dead\u201d that aired partially in black and white and fed into \u201cSugar on My Tongue.\u201d The night\u2019s final performance was Clipse doing \u201cSo Far Ahead.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tPREVIOUSLY: <\/strong>Lady Gaga already has picked up a win today in the Premiere show, with \u201cAbracadabra\u201d taking Best Dance Pop Recording, while Cirkut won for Producer of the Year, Non-Classical. Thomas has won for Best R&B Song and Traditional R&B Performance, and Bad Bunny won for Best Global Music Performance for \u201cEoO.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tAlso today, Sinners, the record-breaking leader in the Oscar nominations<\/a>, won for Ludwig G\u00f6ransson\u2019s Best Score Soundtrack For Visual Media and Best Compilation Soundtrack For Visual Media. Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande\u2019s anthem \u201cDefying Gravity\u201d from Wicked won for Best Pop Duo\/Group Performance, topping in the category among others the four-Grammy-nominated Kpop Demon Hunters, which eventually picked up its own Grammy<\/a> for Best Song Written For Visual Media, becoming the first K-pop song to do so.<\/p>\n

The Dalai Lama won a Best Audio Book, Narration, and Storytelling Recording Grammy for his book Meditations: The Reflections Of His Holiness The Dalai Lama.<\/p>\n

\n\tOther double winners so far this year include Kehlani, for R&B song and performance; Mavis Staples, for Best Americana Performance and Best American Roots Performance; jazz composer\/bassist Christian McBride; and jazz drummer\/arranger Nate Smith.<\/p>\n
