Comedian\u00a0Ricky Gervais\u00a0took aim at celebrities using their acceptance speeches at the Grammy Awards to weigh in on politics on Sunday,<\/a> referencing a moment from his famous monologue castigating celebrity navel-gazing.<\/p>\n

Gervais posted an image of a quote from his\u00a0Golden Globes routine\u00a0in 2020<\/a>, when he unloaded on Hollywood.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf you do win an award tonight, don\u2019t use it as a platform to make a political speech,\u201d Gervais said at the time. \u201cYou\u2019re in no position to lecture the public about anything. You know nothing about the real world. Most of you spent less time in school than\u00a0Greta Thunberg.\u201d<\/p>\n

In the caption of his post on X, Gervais wrote<\/a>, \u201cThey\u2019re still not listening.\u201d<\/p>\n

Multiple celebrities who won awards on Sunday at the Grammys used their platform to slam\u00a0Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).<\/p>\n

Bad Bunny, who\u2019s scheduled\u00a0to perform during the halftime show at Super Bowl LX next weekend, protested immigration efforts while accepting his Grammy<\/a> for Best M\u00fasica Urbana Album for \u201cDeB\u00cd TiRAR M\u00e1S FOToS.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cBefore I say thanks to God, I\u2019m gonna say ICE out,\u201d he pleaded from the stage. \u201cWe\u2019re not savages, we\u2019re not animals, we\u2019re not aliens \u2014 we are humans, and we are Americans.\u201d<\/p>\n

Bad Bunny pleaded for unity and said that \u201cthe only thing that is more powerful than hate is love.\u201d<\/p>\n

Billie Eilish\u00a0said \u201cf\u2014 ICE\u201d<\/a> at the end of her acceptance speech. \u201cNobody is illegal on stolen land<\/a>. We need to keep fighting and speaking up. Our voices do matter.\u201d<\/p>\n

Her remarks were met with loud applause at the Grammys.<\/p>\n

Trevor Noah, who hosted this year\u2019s Grammy Awards show,\u00a0targeted Nicki Minaj\u00a0during his opening<\/a> and said the star wasn\u2019t present at the award show, which the audience applauded.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe is still at the White House with\u00a0Donald Trump, discussing very important issues,\u201d Noah said.<\/p>\n

The former \u201cDaily Show\u201d host impersonated Trump during his sixth and final run as host, and said, \u201cActually, Nicki, I have the biggest a\u2013.
