Jonah Hill<\/a> looks unrecognizable in his new movie.<\/p>\n On Tuesday, Feb. 3, Apple TV shared images on Instagram<\/a> of Hill, 42, Keanu Reeves<\/a>, Cameron Diaz<\/a> and Matt Bomer<\/a> in Outcome<\/a>, a new movie that Hill wrote, directed and will star in. Hill appears with a bald head and silver beard in the new movie. One image shows him placing his hand on Reeves’ shoulder on what appears to be a Hollywood film studio lot. Other images show Reeves, 61, Diaz, 53 and Bomer, 48, smiling at each other while sitting on a bed.<\/p>\n “Reef Hawk, Hollywood’s poster child since age six, is not okay,” reads an official synopsis<\/a> for the movie. “When he learns about an extortion plot tied to a mysterious video, Reef preemptively sets out on a redemption tour to make amends, confront his demons, and avoid getting canceled.”<\/p>\n According to The Hollywood Reporter<\/a>, Reeves portrays lead character Reef, while Diaz and Bomer play his lifelong friends, with Hill as a crisis lawyer named Ira. The movie also boasts a star-studded supporting cast that includes legendary director Martin Scorsese<\/a>, daytime television star Susan Lucci<\/a>, Laverne Cox<\/a>, David Spade<\/a>, Roy Wood Jr.<\/a>, Kaia Gerber<\/a>, Ivy Wolk and Atsuko Okatsuka.\u00a0<\/p>\n Apple TV<\/p>\n The new movie is Hill’s third as a director after the 2018 film Mid90s and 2022’s documentary Stutz. He last appeared an actor in the 2023 movie You People. At a Feb. 2 press day for Outcome, Hill told reporters that his film is “a metaphor for what we all go through living on social media,” per THR. “Social media has made us obsessed what people we don\u2019t know think of us, instead of caring about what the people who know us best think of us,” he said.<\/p>\n “It’s an interesting commentary about celebrity and how it functions in our society and what’s expected,” Diaz told Extra<\/a> of the film at a press event for the movie on Feb. 3. “We live in a world now where celebrity is accessible to anyone. Anybody can be famous. It’s no longer famous for 15 minutes; it’s famous for 15 seconds. Everybody can get a little taste of it if they have one viral video, or it’s all relevant to somebody. Diaz last starred in the 2025 Netflix film Back in Action, which was her first movie role in more than 10 years.\u00a0All four actors were photographed at work on the movie’s set<\/a> in Los Angeles in May 2024.<\/p>\n Outcome premieres on Apple TV April 10.
