Officials with FBI Houston are asking for the public\u2019s help to identify and locate a man accused of robbing a Frost Bank in southeast Houston last week.<\/p>\n
The FBI has dubbed the suspect the \u201cSubzero Suspect,\u201d a nickname tied to the timing of the robbery, which occurred as Houston was dealing with the fallout of a historic winter storm that brought freezing temperatures to the region.<\/p>\n
The robbery happened around 9:05 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2026, at the Frost Bank located at 9990 Almeda-Genoa Road, according to a press release from the FBI\u2019s Violent Crime Task Force.<\/p>\n
Investigators say the suspect entered the bank, displayed a black handgun and ordered employees to lie on the ground at gunpoint.<\/p>\n
Authorities said the suspect took cash before fleeing the bank on foot. No injuries were reported. The amount of money stolen has not been disclosed.<\/p>\n
Officials released photographs of the suspect in hopes of identifying him.<\/p>\n
The suspect is described as an adult male, about 5 feet 7 inches tall with a thin build. During the robbery, he was wearing a lime-green ski mask, a gray jacket, black pants, black shoes and white gloves.<\/p>\n
Crime Stoppers of Houston is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to the identification and arrest of the suspect.<\/p>\n
