Bayona, will debut at this year\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/san-sebastian\/\" id=\"auto-tag_san-sebastian\" data-tag=\"san-sebastian\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">San Sebastian<\/a> Film Festival.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tThe title was among several other Spanish titles announced this morning by the festival.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tDirected by Agust\u00edn D\u00edaz Yanes, the film stars Susana Abaitua, Andr\u00e9s Gertr\u00fadix, Iraia Elias, Ra\u00fal Ar\u00e9valo, and Ariadna Gil. Producing along with Bayona are Bel\u00e9n Atienza and Sandra Hermida.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tThe film\u2019s synopsis reads: Inspired by the lives and experiences of several members of the Guardia Civil directly involved in the fight against terrorism and grounded in the historical, political, and social context of the 1990s and 2000s, Un fantasma en la Batalla tells the story of Amaia, a young civil guard who spends more than a decade working as an undercover agent within ETA, with the aim of locating the band\u2019s hideouts in the South of France.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tUn Fantasma en la Batalla is a Netflix title.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tFilmmaker Alberto Rodr\u00edguez will return to San Sebastian this year with two projects. First, Anatom\u00eda de un instante (The Anatomy of a Moment), a 3-episode mini-series based on the book of the same name by Javier Cercas about the attempted coup d\u2019\u00e9tat in Spain on 23 February 1981. The series stars \u00c1lvaro Morte as President Adolfo Su\u00e1rez, Eduard Fern\u00e1ndez as the communist leader Santiago Carrillo, Manolo Solo in the part of the army officer and politician Guti\u00e9rrez Mellado, and David Lorente as the lieutenant colonel leading the coup, Antonio Tejero.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tThe second Rodr\u00edguez title is Los Tigres, a feature written with Rafael Cobos, in which Antonio de la Torre and B\u00e1rbara Lennie play siblings who work as professional divers for an oil company. Their lives change when Antonio has an accident and learns that he can no longer dive.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tElsewhere, Jose Mari Goenaga and Aitor Arregi return to San Sebastian with Maspalomas, while Jos\u00e9 Luis Guerin returns to the official competition with a new non-fiction work, Historias del buen valle (Good Valley Stories), which he shot in Vallbona, a Barcelona district known for its migrant communities.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tThis year\u2019s San Sebastian Film Festival runs from 19-27 September.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Un Fantasma en la Batalla, a political thriller produced by Society of Snow filmmaker J.A.
