Wood Bridge to be turned into sculptures around new bridge"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>One of Maine\u2019s oldest bridges will be transformed into a work of art.<\/p>\n<p>The Frank J. Woods Bridge connecting Brunswick and Topsham will be turned into sculptures.<\/p>\n<p>The MaineDOT is currently replacing the bridge, which dates back to 1932.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.brunswickpublicart.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"https:\/\/www.brunswickpublicart.org\/\" class=\"themeColorForLinks\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Brunswick Public Art <\/a>has a plan to turn pieces of the bridge into a sculptures, which will be permanently installed around the entrance.<\/p>\n<p>The nonprofit is taking ideas for works of art to capture the history of the bridge.<\/p>\n<p>The MaineDOT is hoping the new bridge will be open by next year.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"One of Maine\u2019s oldest bridges will be transformed into a work of art.
