In a photo from her Instagram story obtained by EOnline<\/a>, Simpson <\/a>shared a rare update on her tween son Ace, saying, \u201cMy 12yr old is much taller than mama.\u201d She also set the background music to Ben E. King\u2019s song \u201cStand By Me,\u201d adding, \u201cFun fact, he was born to this tune.\u201d<\/p>\n

In a previous interview with Entertainment Tonight<\/a>, Simpson said motherhood is very rewarding for her. \u201cThe most rewarding part of being a mother is really just watching my kids grow,\u201d she said. \u201cIt\u2019s like, how much knowledge they have about life is just so meaningful to me, and how much heart they put into everything they do. There\u2019s just nothing like the innocence of a child.\u201d<\/p>\n
