Yannick Hanfmann and Jan-Lennart Struff claimed straight-st victories on Friday as Germany took a commanding 2-0 lead in their Davis Cup qualifier against underdogs Peru.<\/p>\n

Hanfmann won 6-4, 6-4 against Gonzalo Bueno and Struff then beat Juan Pablo Varillas 6-4, 6-2.<\/p>\n

Germany can clinch the five-rubber tie if Tim P\u00fctz and Kevin Krawietz win the doubles which starts Saturday’s programme also featuring the reverse singles.<\/p>\n

Germany are in full command despite playing without Australian Open semi-finalist and world number four Alexander Zverev.<\/p>\n

Victory will send them into the second qualifying round in September where Denmark or Croatia will be the opponent. That winner advances into the eight-team finals.<\/p>\n

Germany have won the prestigious tennis team event three times, with the last title dating back to 1993.<\/p>\n
