{"id":572336,"date":"2026-02-07T07:00:16","date_gmt":"2026-02-07T07:00:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/572336\/"},"modified":"2026-02-07T07:00:16","modified_gmt":"2026-02-07T07:00:16","slug":"thrift-giant-to-receive-100k-in-colleyville-grant-funds-for-old-99-cents-only-store-renovations","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/572336\/","title":{"rendered":"Thrift Giant to receive $100K in Colleyville grant funds for old 99 Cents Only Store renovations"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\tColleyville City Council approved a reimbursement grant of $100,000 to help Texas-based resale shop Thrift Giant update the exterior of the old 99 Cents Only Store at the Feb. 3 council <a href=\"https:\/\/colleyvilletx.new.swagit.com\/videos\/373985\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">meeting<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The grant is funded through the Colleyville <a href=\"https:\/\/www.colleyville.com\/government\/departments-a-l\/economic-development\/best-program\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Business Enhancements to Support Transformation Program<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What\u2019s happening? <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/thrift-giant.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Thrift Giant<\/a> purchased the building off Cheek-Sparger Road and SH 26 and is investing $1.5 million into the site for renovations, said Assistant City Manager Mark Wood at the Feb. 3 meeting.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c[Thrift Giant will] throw a million dollars into a building that really needed some help.
