Artists, your work could end up under the spotlight. Or it could be the light itself.<\/p>\n

San Antonio\u2019s Luminaria Contemporary Arts Festival is taking applications to select the 200 artists it will showcase this November.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Artists from around the world have gathered to share their work at Luminaria\u2019s annual gatherings, and officials are seeking both emerging and established creators in any medium.\u00a0Officials haven\u2019t yet announced a location for this year\u2019s Luminaria, but the nighttime festival will take place Nov. 14. <\/p>\n

This time around, organizers are emphasizing large structural and light-focused installations, but artists in any field are encouraged to apply,.\u00a0Both individual artists and groups are welcome, but don\u2019t get too excited without talking to your band or collective members first: there should only be one application per group.<\/p>\n

Individual artists selected for the show will receive $750, while groups will receive an average of $1500, according to Luminaria officials. <\/p>\n

The application period closes March 6, and Luminaria is holding two online information sessions, Feb. 17 and March 4, both at 6 p.m. Applications are accepted via the Luminaria website,<\/a> which also offers sign-ups for the Q&A sessions<\/a>. <\/p>\n

There\u2019s no application fee or age limit. The work must be original, created within the past three years and displayed first at the festival. Artists may not sell work during the event, and the judging panel won\u2019t accept AI-generated creations. <\/p>\n
