The white flag has been waved at Worthy Farm. After 30 years of mucking about with a kings-of-Britpop rivalry, Damon Albarn is admitting what everyone and Flimsy Steve<\/a> have known for some time: Oasis is a bigger deal than Blur. \u201cWell, it was obvious, wasn\u2019t it? I think we can officially say that Oasis won the battle, the war, the campaign, everything,\u201d Albarn told<\/a> The Sun. \u201cThey are the winners. They take first place. In the face of such overwhelming evidence, I am happy to accept and concede defeat. It\u2019s their summer and God bless them.\u201d He refuses, though, to enter Oasis\u2019s parka-and-bucket-hat territory for their current reunion tour<\/a>, and even questions the purpose of such an endeavor. \u201cI hope everyone has a wonderful time but I\u2019m going to be in a very, very different place,\u201d Albarn said. \u201cI couldn\u2019t do as many gigs as they\u2019re doing. That\u2019s a lot of the same emotion. They\u2019re very brave and I hope it\u2019s worth it. You know, money isn\u2019t everything.\u201d Maybe not, but neither are girls, boys, coffee, or TV.<\/p>\n
