{"id":57468,"date":"2025-07-11T18:01:16","date_gmt":"2025-07-11T18:01:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/57468\/"},"modified":"2025-07-11T18:01:16","modified_gmt":"2025-07-11T18:01:16","slug":"fried-chicken-restaurant-zaxbys-coming-to-chicago-illinois-nbc-chicago","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/57468\/","title":{"rendered":"Fried chicken restaurant Zaxby\u2019s coming to Chicago, Illinois \u2013 NBC Chicago"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Zaxby&#8217;s, Georgia&#8217;s famous fast-casual, fried chicken restaurant is officially expanding into Illinois, with &#8220;several new restaurants&#8221; set to open in the Chicago area &#8220;within the next year.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The new restaurants will be part of &#8220;multi-unit development agreement with a seasoned local operator,&#8221; a press release announcing the news said. <\/p>\n<p>The operator &#8212; a Chicago native, who was not named in the release &#8212; said they had been looking to bring Zaxby&#8217;s to Chicago for more than a decade. <\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/Zaxbys_757bdc.jpg\" loading=\"lazy\"   alt=\" \"\/><\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/Zaxbys_5.jpeg\" loading=\"lazy\"   alt=\" \"\/><\/p>\n<p>\u201cChicago is one of the most exciting markets for us right now,\u201d Mike Mettler, Zaxby&#8217;s chief development officer said in the release. \u201cThis operator has built a scalable restaurant business rooted in operational excellence, team development, and a deep connection to the local community. We\u2019re confident they\u2019re the right partner to introduce Zaxbys to Chicago and successfully grow the brand\u2019s footprint in the region.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>A Zaxby&#8217;s spokesperson told NBC Chicago that site selection for the restaurants was currently underway, with some in active development.
