{"id":577352,"date":"2026-02-09T11:43:14","date_gmt":"2026-02-09T11:43:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/577352\/"},"modified":"2026-02-09T11:43:14","modified_gmt":"2026-02-09T11:43:14","slug":"iranian-dissidents-final-plea-to-donald-trump-before-death","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/577352\/","title":{"rendered":"Iranian dissident\u2019s final plea to Donald Trump before death"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\u201cIf you\u2019re watching this, then I\u2019m not around anymore,\u201d said Pouria Hamidi, an Iranian man from the southern port city of Bushehr, in a video shared by Farsi-language Iran International.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article-paragraph-section article-body-paragraph\">After sharing the video, Hamidi reportedly took his own life, according to the Iranian opposition news outlet. \u201cMore than 40,000 people died, killed, massacred, more than the Russia-Ukraine war, and more than the Israel-Palestine war,\u201d he said during the video.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article-paragraph-section article-body-paragraph\">In the ten-minute video, which was recorded in English, he said, \u201cTo make a deal with this regime is to betray all those people who died. So please, I beg you, do whatever you can to stop this deal.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Hamidi noted that the US President Donald Trump had told the Iranians to \u201ckeep protesting, and we did, we trusted him.\u201d Addressing a possible future deal, Hamidi said that to fight people carrying guns is not possible, framing that the Iranian people can\u2019t defeat the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jpost.com\/middle-east\/iran-news\/article-885839\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Islamic regime<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article-paragraph-section article-body-paragraph\">\u201cThe government itself hired terrorist groups, Muslim terrorist groups, to kill people. And we still don&#8217;t know what they did with the bodies,\u201d he explained. He also described the current generation&#8217;s relation with Islam, claiming that Iranians want it out of the country, \u201cWe are running away from it, especially my generation,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>He also mentioned <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jpost.com\/middle-east\/iran-news\/article-884853\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi<\/a>, calling him &#8220;the best choice to make a transitional government.&#8221; He mentioned that there were several opposition groups outside Iran and asked them to &#8220;come together and stop fighting each other.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"article-paragraph-section article-body-paragraph\">Hamidi noted that the Iranians face a moment of despair, and that the US attack against Iran would be their last hope: \u201cYou don&#8217;t know how hopeless our people are right now. I mean, I myself, I can&#8217;t eat. I can&#8217;t sleep,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article-paragraph-section article-body-paragraph\">\u201cI can&#8217;t even cry about it because it&#8217;s so laughable to be born in a place like this, to have no future.
