Investigators say a tanker truck was blocking three lanes of Grand Avenue as it was backing into a nearby business, with road cones set up in the area. <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"figure-img img-fluid mx-auto d-block\" alt=\"Glendale Police say the collision happened near Grand Avenue and Royal Palm Road.\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/KVVVQB2XVRAAFITVPT2UIS27L4.png\" width=\"980\" height=\"525\" \/>Glendale Police say the collision happened near Grand Avenue and Royal Palm Road.(Arizona&#8217;s Family)<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | text-start article-text\">A small sedan then drove through the cones and crashed into the back of the tractor pulling the tanker. Bystanders broke the windows of the sedan and got the driver out. They attempted to perform CPR to save the driver as firefighters arrived on scene.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | text-start article-text\">Peoria firefighters took over, but the driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver has not been identified at this time. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | text-start article-text\">Grand Avenue is closed from Northern Avenue to 75th Avenue.
