The left-hander is taking the spot of Max Fried, who is scheduled to start his last game before the break on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>Rather than Fried trying to pitch in the All-Star Game on two days\u2019 rest, Rod\u00f3n will take his place after starting Friday\u2019s game against the Cubs.<\/p>\n<p><img style=\"aspect-ratio:0.88574219;display:block\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"523\" height=\"590\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/07-05-25-new-york-107675833.jpg\" alt=\"Carlos Rod\u00f3n #55 of the New York Yankees throws a pitch during the first inning. &#10;\" class=\"wp-image-36510226\"  \/>Carlos Rodon is a late addition to the All-Star Game.
