{"id":579788,"date":"2026-02-10T12:05:09","date_gmt":"2026-02-10T12:05:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/579788\/"},"modified":"2026-02-10T12:05:09","modified_gmt":"2026-02-10T12:05:09","slug":"taco210mexico-brings-bold-flavors-from-monterrey-to-north-san-antonio","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/579788\/","title":{"rendered":"Taco210Mexico brings bold flavors from Monterrey to North San Antonio"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\tJose Hernandez said he wanted to bring the cuisine of his hometown of Monterrey, Mexico, to San Antonio after moving to the area five years ago with his family.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe wanted to make something for ourselves,\u201d Hernandez said.<\/p>\n<p>Originally, Hernandez said the idea for the eatery was from his wife, Neree Hernandez, who had years of experience cooking dishes in Mexico.<\/p>\n<p>While the dream took longer than he expected, Hernandez officially opened his new restaurant, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.taco210mexicotx.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Taco210Mexico<\/a>, in October 2025. (Andrew Creelman\/Community Impact)<strong>On the menu<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The taco spot <a href=\"https:\/\/taco210mexicotx.com\/taco210-mexico\/locations\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">offers a selection<\/a> of traditional Tex-Mex dishes, from street tacos to burrito bowls, all with a twist.<\/p>\n<p>Hernandez said what sets the restaurant apart in San Antonio is its selection of dishes, which are popular in Monterrey and throughout the state of Nuevo Le\u00f3n, Mexico.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe best dishes are carne asada, machacado and chilaquiles,\u201d Hernandez said.<\/p>\n<p>Combining the popular San Antonio-style breakfast taco with breakfast options from Monterrey, the restaurant offers <a href=\"http:\/\/www.donablancafoods.com\/blogs\/news\/what-is-machaca?srsltid=AfmBOoqRN4jf4QQI4vyWS4TMYI-hanB65uOe8GOybUc_jCJFrYfNdk8W\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">machacado<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/goldilockskitchen.com\/2022\/08\/what-exactly-are-mexican-chilaquiles-and-how-do-you-eat-them\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">chilaquiles<\/a> tacos all day.<\/p>\n<p>Machacado is a mix of shredded beef cooked and scrambled with eggs, onion, peppers, spices and cheese; while chilaquiles are crispy tortillas simmered in salsa and topped with crema, corn and a choice of protein.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Taco210Mexico is located in the Cadillac Plaza shopping center just off of Blanco Road in North San Antonio. (Andrew Creelman\/Community Impact)<strong>Learn more<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Hernandez said his favorite part about being a first-time restaurant owner is making sure people in the community are well fed.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI like to be the one talking directly to the customers,\u201d he said. \u201cSeeing them smile and enjoying what we\u2019ve made is important.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>By bringing together flavors from both <a href=\"https:\/\/www.britannica.com\/place\/Monterrey-Mexico\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Monterrey<\/a> and South Texas, Hernandez said he hopes to appeal to the appetite of all San Antonians.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Chips and guac are standard for all customers dining at Taco210Mexico.
