John Goodman revealed that he hasn\u2019t spoken to his former on-screen wife Roseanne Barr in many years and doesn\u2019t think he will ever again.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe haven\u2019t talked for about seven or eight years,\u201d the actor, 73, told the Hollywood Reporter,<\/a> noting that, \u201cI\u2019d rather doubt if she wants to talk to me.\u201d<\/p>\n The two played husband and wife on \u201cRoseanne,\u201d which ran on ABC from 1988 to 1997 and returned for a 10th season in 2018.<\/p>\n John Goodman said he hasn\u2019t spoken to Roseanne Barr in several years. ABC<\/p>\n Plans for an 11th season were canceled after Barr, 72, the matriarch of the blue-collar Connor family, compared Valerie Jarrett, a former advisor to President Barack Obama, to an ape.<\/p>\n She also falsely alleged<\/a> that Chelsea Clinton was married to George Soros\u2019 nephew and that Soros was a Nazi sympathizer.<\/p>\n \u201cRoseanne\u2019s Twitter statement is abhorrent, repugnant and inconsistent with our values, and we have decided to cancel her show,\u201d President of ABC Entertainment Channing Dungey said in a statement at the time.<\/p>\n The show\u2019s 11th season was cancelled after Barr tweeted a barrage of false and racist comments. I thought that was it, and as soon as they dismissed the cast, I picked up \u2018Righteous Gemstones.’\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cThen we got to do the show again as \u2018The Conners.\u2019 I didn\u2019t know how long it would last, but I sure enjoyed it while I was there.\u201d<\/p>\n Despite the frostiness between himself and Barr, Goodman only spoke warmly of the controversial comedian.<\/p>\n Goodman looked back fondly on their working relationship.
