3.\u00a0NYSEG, RG&E issue warning to customers about increase in scam activity<\/a><\/b><\/p>\n

New York State Electric and Gas (NYSEG) and Rochester Gas & Electric (RG&E), which are both part of Avangrid, say that while scams happen all year round, they’ve noted more aggressive tactics being used recently.<\/p>\n

4.\u00a0Man sentenced for role in death of 5-year-old Syracuse girl<\/a><\/b><\/p>\n

The boyfriend of a mother who admitted murdering her 5-year-old daughter, Nefertiti Harris, in Syracuse was sentenced to prison Tuesday for his role in the killing. Corrice Parks, who had pleaded guilty to concealment of a human corpse, hindering prosecution and criminal possession of a weapon, received a 14-year prison sentence, according to Onondaga County Chief Assistant District Attorney Robert Moran.<\/p>\n

5.\u00a0Gillibrand urges FTC to examine impacts of AI on older Americans<\/a><\/b><\/p>\n

U.S. Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand is urging the Federal Trade Commission to examine the impact of artificial intelligence on older Americans, including the risks seniors face when using AI chatbots, her office said Tuesday.<\/p>\n
