\n\tJill Zarin has been fired from E!<\/a>\u2018s recently greenlit reality series<\/a> The Golden Life, which is set to star a few of the original Real Housewives<\/a> of New York City. <\/p>\n

\n\tHer removal from the cast comes following comments Zarin shared about Bad Bunny<\/a>\u2018s Super Bowl Halftime Show<\/a>. The former New York Housewife shared critiques for his performance in a since-deleted video<\/a>, calling it \u201cthe worst halftime show ever,\u201d continuing to slam the show for featuring mostly Spanish songs and \u201cno white people.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\tBlink49 Studios, which is set to produce the show, shared a statement with The Hollywood Reporter confirming the news: \u201cIn light of recent public comments made by Jill Zarin, Blink49 Studios has decided not to move forward with her involvement in\u00a0The Golden Life. We remain\u00a0committed to delivering the series in line with our company standards and values.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cWe all agree that\u00a0it was the worst halftime show ever. And it\u2019s 250 years that we\u2019re celebrating right now in the United States, and I just don\u2019t think it was appropriate to have it in Spanish,\u201d Zarin started in her video. \u201cQuite frankly, I think him grabbing his, you know, g-area, I think it was totally inappropriate. Got all these young kids watching the Super Bowl, and he doesn\u2019t have to be grabbing himself every five seconds. Is he so insecure? Seriously.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tShe continued, \u201cI didn\u2019t understand \u2014 I don\u2019t speak Spanish, I would\u2019ve like to know the words he was saying. To me, it looked like a political statement, because there were literally no white people in the\u00a0entire\u00a0thing. I think it was a political statement, and I\u2019m not taking a side one way or the other. I just do. I think it was an ICE thing.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tWith Bad Bunny as headliner, Zarin said she believes \u201cthat the NFL sold out, and it\u2019s very sad because, 75 years and, you know, shame. Shame.\u201d She also said she \u201cdidn\u2019t recognize\u201d Lady Gaga<\/a> and that she \u201chad to Google her face to see who it was.\u201d Zarin added, \u201cAt least it gave me something to do since it was so hard to watch.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Golden Life will star Luann de Lesseps, Ramona Singer, Kelly Bensimon and Sonja Morgan, who all previously starred in The Real Housewives of New York City<\/a>. Zarin\u2019s Sunday post swiftly went viral (and was deleted), with many stars from the Bravo universe speaking out against her comments, including her co-stars. <\/p>\n

\n\tDorinda Medley, who starred on RHONY and is rumored to make appearances on The Golden Life, shared her opinion on Zarin\u2019s remarks on the Reality Checked<\/a> podcast Monday. She noted, \u201cWe woke up today to Jill giving her opinion on it. I don\u2019t need to tell you her opinion, but I disagree with absolutely everything she said. I don\u2019t think you can walk away from what we had the luxury of witnessing yesterday.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThe effect that it had on so many people, especially people that are frightened right now, that are faltered. He created hope, and I felt sentimental about that Super Bowl halftime,\u201d Medley continued. \u201cI think the world has said it already, but I do not agree with any of it.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tMorgan shared an Instagram post<\/a> on Monday, and without directly referencing Zarin\u2019s comments, wrote that she was \u201cCelebrating with my chosen family Bad Bunny\u2019s Grammy. While also reiterating that he\u2019s the first Latino to win one and just showing my love for my Latin friends and supporters.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tDe Lesseps, too, shyly weighed in, sharing a photo<\/a> of the big screen from Bad Bunny\u2019s halftime performance that read, \u201cThe only thing more powerful than hate is love.\u201d She wrote in the caption, \u201cChoose Love.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\tDuring Andy Cohen<\/a>\u2018s Feb. 9 episode of his SiriusXM\u00a0radio\u00a0show, he lightly spoke about the controversy, noting, \u201cIn terms of Jill, just\u2026 I don\u2019t know. You know, call E!\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Bravo boss also addressed fellow former Housewife Taylor Armstrong, similarly condemning Bad Bunny\u2019s Super Bowl spot. On her Instagram Story, the once Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star posted a photo of her head photoshopped onto Russell Crowe\u2019s body in Gladiator, writing, \u201cWere you entertained? I am embarrassed for the NFL and Apple for the Super Bowl half time show totally in Spanish with a Cuban Flag!!\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cTwo people who are not employed by Bravo anymore,\u201d Cohen said, continuing, \u201cSo just\u2026 Call E!\u201d<\/p>\n
