The atmosphere is again loading up with moisture and several upper impulses are expected to move over Texas this weekend. The ingredients are coming together for another heavy rainfall event and possible flash flooding across areas west of I-35 this weekend. Saturday night into Sunday seems to be the time for high vigilance in previously flooded and flood-prone areas, especially in the Hill Country. Clouds and rain will keep temperatures slightly below normal. Rain chances should decline heading into Monday.<\/p>\n

1.\u00a0‘I’ve never seen anything like this’: Trump tours Texas flood damage amid questions around FEMA’s future<\/a><\/b><\/p>\n

President Donald Trump repeatedly lamented Friday that he had \u201cnever seen anything like\u201d the devastation in central Texas after viewing damage from the catastrophic flash flood that swept through the region a week ago and killed more than 100 people.<\/p>\n

\u201cAll across the country, Americans’ hearts are shattered,\u201d Trump said.\u00a0<\/p>\n

2.\u00a0$30 million raised for Kerr County Flood Relief Fund includes P. Terry’s entire post-sellout profit<\/a><\/b><\/p>\n

Following the profit donations from many local restaurants in the Central Texas area, the Kerr County Flood Relief Fund has received more than $30 million.<\/p>\n

Due to donating 100% of their profits, P. Terry’s Burger Stand \u2014 founded in Austin in 2005 \u2014 predicted it would be out of food by 11 p.m. on Thursday, as announced on Instagram and Facebook.<\/p>\n

3.\u00a0A Texas family clung to life on their roof, capturing the terrifying flooding in photos and video<\/a><\/b><\/p>\n

Jane Towler’s grandfather bought the property in Texas Hill Country in the 1930s, and she’s\u00a0lived through many floods<\/a>\u00a0in her 70 years, losing a canoe or chairs here and there. But last Friday was different.<\/p>\n

The river would swell 26 feet in 45 minutes and\u00a0lay waste to homes<\/a>\u00a0and buildings, sweep away cars and trucks, and claim the lives of\u00a0more than 100 people<\/a>, including\u00a0many summer campers<\/a>.<\/p>\n
