{"id":58387,"date":"2025-07-12T01:55:07","date_gmt":"2025-07-12T01:55:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/58387\/"},"modified":"2025-07-12T01:55:07","modified_gmt":"2025-07-12T01:55:07","slug":"barcelona-rule-out-the-sales-of-la-masia-midfield-duo-report","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/58387\/","title":{"rendered":"Barcelona rule out the sales of La Masia midfield duo &#8211; report"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Barcelona are getting closer to reaching the goal of operating under the 1:1 rule, which would allow the club to register new players without restrictions. <\/p>\n<p>One of the key conditions, however, is the sale of a significant member of the current squad \u2013 both to reduce the wage bill and to bring in funds from the transfer.<\/p>\n<p>Marc-Andre ter Stegen\u2019s refusal to leave, despite the arrival of Joan Garcia, has led to speculations that Bar\u00e7a may have to part ways with a different player.<\/p>\n<p>And the La Masia midfield duo of Fermin Lopez and Marc Casado have been mentioned as possible candidates, owing to the interest they have garnered from the Premier League.<\/p>\n<p>Barcelona will not sell Fermin or Casado<\/p>\n<p>However, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/esport3\/status\/1943693618226581526\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Catalunya Radio<\/a>, neither Fermin Lopez nor Marc Casado will be part of any exit plan as far as Barcelona are concerned this summer.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/fc-barcelona-v-fc-bayern-munchen-uefa-champions-league-2024-25-league-phase-md3-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"Marc Casado celebrating against Bayern Munich.\" class=\"wp-image-172971\"  \/>Not for sale. (Photo by Pedro Salado\/Getty Images)<\/p>\n<p>Despite both midfielders being mentioned in speculation alongside other players, neither Deco nor Hansi Flick are considering letting them go.<\/p>\n<p>Fermin finds himself behind Dani Olmo and Gavi in the pecking order for the No. 10 position, and the possibility of Raphinha operating centrally in the upcoming season could further impact his minutes.<\/p>\n<p>As a result, <a href=\"https:\/\/barcauniversal.com\/barcelona-midfielder-wanted-by-premier-league-and-saudi-teams-makes-his-position-clear\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">clubs in the Premier League and Saudi Arabia<\/a> have shown an interest.<\/p>\n<p>Casado, too, finds himself in a similar situation as Pedri, Frenkie de Jong, and Gavi are ahead of him.
