Samsung’s Galaxy S26 Ultra is supposedly coming in January, and according to a new rumor from China today, it might bring with it a massive camera upgrade.<\/p>\n

Namely, the main sensor is said to be Sony’s upcoming 1\/1.1″ type with 200 MP resolution<\/a>, the Japanese company’s first with so many pixels.<\/p>\n

The Galaxy S25 Ultra<\/a> uses the Samsung ISOCELL HP2, which has 200 MP resolution too, but is smaller at 1\/1.3″. The bigger size of the Sony sensor will let in more light, which should result in much-improved shots.<\/p>\n

The only asterisk here is that there’s a chance Samsung will push the use of this Sony sensor to the Galaxy S27 Ultra in 2027. Hopefully the S26 Ultra will see it, but it doesn’t seem to be a given according to the source of this rumor.<\/p>\n
