It was the 107th splash hit in Oracle Park history, and the first by a Dodger since Max Muncy’s in 2021.<\/p>\n
It was the kind of hit the Dodgers needed after entering Friday on a six-game losing streak, which has seen a nine-game lead in the NL West shrink to five in the span of a week.<\/p>\n
Ohtani is currently pushing for his fourth career MVP award, leading the NL in homers while slowly making his return as a pitcher.
