{"id":593329,"date":"2026-02-16T05:15:19","date_gmt":"2026-02-16T05:15:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/593329\/"},"modified":"2026-02-16T05:15:19","modified_gmt":"2026-02-16T05:15:19","slug":"singapore-mulls-regulating-blind-boxes-to-curb-gambling-risks-as-concerns-grow-over-impact-on-minors","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/593329\/","title":{"rendered":"Singapore mulls regulating \u2018blind boxes\u2019 to curb gambling risks as concerns grow over impact on minors"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>SINGAPORE, Feb 14 \u2014 Singapore said it plans to regulate the sale of \u201cblind box\u201d products after the controversial marketing strategy raised concerns worldwide about gambling inducement.<\/p>\n<p>Blind boxes are retail products, typically toys or collectibles, sold in sealed packaging that do not disclose their contents until after purchase.<\/p>\n<p>Consumer advocates and policymakers have raised concerns that the scheme resembles gambling, particularly where buyers pay for a chance to get higher-value or rare items.<\/p>\n<p>Home Affairs Minister K.
