A 10-year-old girl died on Monday from injuries she sustained after the driver of a pickup truck she was riding in crashed into a partially frozen creek in Kankakee County last week, authorities said. <\/p>\n

Another child was also critically injured in the crash<\/a>, authorities said, and the driver, 58-year-old Phyllis Moses of Pembroke Township was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol. <\/p>\n

Ombre Mangram, 10, of Pembroke Township died Monday at Chicago’s Comer Children’s Hospital, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office. <\/p>\n

Authorities did not provide any details regarding Mangram’s relationship to Moses. <\/p>\n

Mangram was injured in a crash on Feb. 13 around 1:30 a.m. in the area of 3700 East Illinois Route 17. <\/p>\n

Inside the crashed truck, that was only partially submerged in water, was Moses, Mangram and another young child, authorities said. <\/p>\n

Mangram and the other child were taken to a Chicago hospital, where they were initially listed in critical condition. The current condition of the other child injured in the crash was not immediately available. <\/p>\n
