Fire breaks out at San Jose Apartments senior living community (WJXT)<\/p>\n

JACKSONVILLE, Fla.<\/strong> \u2013 A fire broke out early Saturday morning at the San Jose Apartments, a senior living community in San Jose. The fire started around 7:40 a.m. in the kitchen stove area, according to Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department Captain Eric Prosswimmer.<\/p>\n

The building has 60 units. One person was taken to the hospital with injuries.<\/p>\n

The fire is now out. The entire building lost power, and water service has been shut off. <\/p>\n

JFRD says the power is coming back on now, and only two units were impacted by the fire.<\/p>\n

The Red Cross and other agencies are on site assisting residents affected by the fire.<\/p>\n

Crews are also cleaning up water left behind by the sprinklers.<\/p>\n
