Below, we see the 15 best rounds of golf ever played on the PGA Tour ranked by True SG. These aren\u2019t the raw \u2018lowest\u2019 scores in PGA Tour history, they\u2019re the best rounds ever when compared to the competition. The guys who truly went out and blew away the field.<\/p>\n

I should mention there have been incredible rounds of competitive golf that weren\u2019t on the PGA Tour like Ryo Ishikawa\u2019s 58 (+11.91 SG) on the Japan Golf Tour or Joaquin Niemann\u2019s 59 at LIV Golf Mayakoba (+11.51 SG). But these scores are strictly the best single rounds from the PGA Tour. Interestingly, 15 golfers have broken 60 on the PGA Tour but only 4 of those rounds made it into the best single rounds of all-time based on Strokes Gained.<\/p>\n

To determine these rankings we simply turned to the True SG (Strokes Gained) rating. That adjusts not just for a player\u2019s performance against the field that week but it also adjusts for their performance against the PGA Tour average over the course of the season.<\/p>\n

For context, J.J. Spaun was +4.36 SG over the field for the entire U.S. Open. Jim Furyk has more than doubled that on two separate occasions in a single round! Without further ado, these are the 15 best single rounds in PGA Tour history.<\/p>\n

15. Jim Furyk, 2016 Travelers Championship

At the 2016 Travelers Championship, Jim Furyk made history with the first 12-under \u201958\u2019 in PGA Tour history. Furyk\u2019s 58 was an astounding +10.90 strokes gained on the field.<\/p>\n

His round started with a par followed by birdie-eagle-birdie-par-birdie-birdie-birdie-birdie for a front-9 score of 27. Jim would stay hot on the back with 4 more birdies, including the first three holes on the back-9 which gave him 7 birdies in a row during that round. Unreal.<\/p>\n

Furyk would finish t5th for the tournament at -11 despite shooting -12 in the final round.<\/p>\n

14. Cameron Tringale, 2022 Genesis Scottish Open

Unfortunately, winning wasn\u2019t in the cards for him that week. He shot a 72 (+2) in the 2nd round, 74 (+4) in the 3rd round, and finished Sunday with an even par 70 to end in a tie for 6th place.<\/p>\n

Bryson would eventually lose the tournament to Patrick Cantlay that week in a 6-hole playoff despite Bryson finishing at -27. During his round of 60, Bryson had an eagle on the front and back with 8 other birdies for a combined 29-31 score. 29 on the front!<\/p>\n
