But it may not be long before Briscoe has to watch his back for a new rival: his son Brooks.

Briscoe, 30, picked up his first win of the season last month at Pocono Raceway and has proven himself to be a real threat come playoff time. But when he’s not on the track, Chase is helping his 3-year-old son Brooks learn how to drive, and it seems like the lessons are going well.

NASCAR Driver Chase Briscoe’s Son Brooks Is Already A Pro Behind The Wheel

Chase took to social media earlier this week to post a video of Brooks and him racing outside of their home in North Carolina, and it turns out that Brooks is quite the wheelman.

“I may be a little biased but I feel like this isn’t bad for a three and a half year old…. Anyone else?” he asked on Instagram.

Funnily enough, Chase is not his son’s favorite NASCAR driver. That honor belongs to Chase’s friend and Front Row Motorsports driver Noah Gragson. Briscoe revealed that much earlier this season when he squared off with Gragson in the inaugural NASCAR in-season tournament.

“Noah is like that uncle that you take your kid to that has Pop-Tarts, ice cream, everything else when he’s with him,” Briscoe joked. “Every candy that you try not to give to your kid. So, yeah, Brooks definitely loves Noah for that reason. Every time he’s around him, he’s getting sugared up like nobody’s business.”

Gragson went on to defeat Briscoe in the opening race of the tournament at Atlanta. But he was eliminated the very next week in Chicago in a matchup against Ryan Preece.

As for Briscoe, he’s looking to get back on track this Sunday in Sonoma, where he’ll start in second position behind pole sitter and race favorite Shane Van Gisbergen.

© Mark J.
