Ndamukong Suh hasn’t played in the NFL since the 2022 season, but football fans around the country are celebrating his greatness this Saturday.<\/p>\n

Suh was one of the best defensive tackles in college football history during his time at Nebraska. The All-American had 215 combined tackles and 24 sacks en route to becoming the No. 2 pick in the 2010 NFL Draft.<\/p>\n

From 2010-2022, Suh played for the Detroit Lions, Miami Dolphins, Los Angeles Rams, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Philadelphia Eagles. He had\u00a0600 tackles, 214 QB hits, 71.5 sacks, 38 pass break-ups and five forced fumbles.<\/p>\n

On Saturday morning, Suh let the NFL world know that he’s officially retired at the age of 38.<\/p>\n

“It\u2019s the day I said goodbye to my father, the man who raised me, shaped me, challenged me, and believed in me before I believed in myself,” Suh wrote on X. “He wasn\u2019t just a dad. He was my idol, my coach, and my anchor. He taught me what it meant to be disciplined, focused, and relentless in everything I do. Every snap I took in football carried his fingerprint. Every time I lined up across from someone, I could hear his voice pushing me, reminding me that I wasn\u2019t just representing myself. I was representing him, my family, my name.<\/p>\n

“Before he passed, he gave me one final piece of advice, ‘It\u2019s time to let football go. You\u2019ve done everything you set out to do. Now it\u2019s time for the next chapter.’\u00a0That conversation stayed with me. So today, one year later, I\u2019m honoring that wish. I\u2019m officially retiring from the NFL.”<\/p>\n

Unsurprisingly, NFL fans had nothing but great things to say about Suh.<\/p>\n

“College football Mount Rushmore of the last 20 years, thanks Suh,” one fan said.<\/p>\n

“Most dominant college football player I\u2019ve ever seen,” a second fan commented.<\/p>\n

“The league will never forget about the man named Suh. Thank you,” a third fan wrote.<\/p>\n

“One of the greatest football players I have ever seen. His tape in college is absurd,” another person said.<\/p>\n

“He was honestly one of my favorite players and I wish you the best in the next season of your life,” a social media user told Suh.<\/p>\n

Suh let his fans know that he’s excited for his next chapter.<\/p>\n

“Football was my passion, but it was never my endgame,” Suh wrote<\/a>. “My next season is about impact, purpose, and legacy. About helping others build wealth, lead with intention, and create lasting freedom.\u00a0I\u2019ve lived. I\u2019ve learned. I\u2019ve built. I\u2019ve failed. I\u2019ve succeeded. And now I want to share what I\u2019ve learned; especially with athletes, entrepreneurs, and young people navigating life and money.”<\/p>\n

There’s no doubt Suh left his mark during his NFL career. We can’t wait to see what he does next.<\/p>\n
