During Wednesday\u2019s episode of \u201cThe View,\u201d<\/a> co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin made a surprising admission: She cries at work.<\/p>\n

The group was having a discussion about how Gen Z<\/a> is reportedly crying in the bathroom at work. Co-host Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar<\/a>, Sunny Hostin, and Sara Haines seemingly couldn\u2019t relate. But the topic struck a chord with Griffin.<\/p>\n

\u201cI cry at work, but I hide it. So my bosses will never know,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

Shocked by Griffin\u2019s confession, Hostin quickly asked: \u201cYou cry at work?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI have cried at this job at least half a dozen times,\u201d Griffin replied. \u201cAre you kidding? Have you done this job?\u201d she said as audience members began to clap in response. <\/p>\n

Her co-hosts seemed surprised. Griffin then referenced a scene from \u201cThe Simpsons\u201d<\/a> where Bart Simpson takes his friend Milhouse into a cave and says, \u201cThis is where I come to cry.\u201d <\/p>\n

Behar asked, \u201cWhat did you cry about? Give me an example.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is a very hard job to do and I oftentimes have the only opinion that\u2019s different at a table of five people,\u201d she explained.<\/p>\n

Griffin, a former White House aide to Donald Trump, typically aligns with conservative views. However, during the 2024 presidential election, she voted Democrat for the first time. <\/p>\n

Haines then chimed in that crying at work isn\u2019t exclusive to just Gen Z.<\/p>\n

\u201cGen Z, and even maybe the generation before, are talking about it because they can call it something,\u201d she said. \u201cFor years, and decades, and millennia, we have all channeled it into other places,\u201d she said, admitting that she does cry at work, but not for the same reasons as Griffin.<\/p>\n

Haines disclosed that \u201cevery breakup she\u2019s been through\u201d has resulted in tears while on the clock. However, instead of secretly crying in the workplace bathroom, she\u2019d excuse herself for a coffee run.<\/p>\n

Griffin made it clear that even though she has shed tears due to work stress, she is still very happy working at \u201cThe View.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cFor the record, this is a great job. And Brian gives great hugs,\u201d she said, referring to the show\u2019s executive producer, Brian Teta.<\/p>\n
