{"id":604434,"date":"2026-02-20T22:45:13","date_gmt":"2026-02-20T22:45:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/604434\/"},"modified":"2026-02-20T22:45:13","modified_gmt":"2026-02-20T22:45:13","slug":"announcing-the-2026-san-antonio-tastemaker-awards-nominees","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/604434\/","title":{"rendered":"Announcing the 2026 San Antonio Tastemaker Awards nominees"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A San Antonio taquer\u00eda praised for serving some of Texas\u2019 best al pastor tacos is headed to the North Side. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.elpastoresmisenor.com\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">El Pastor es Mi Se\u00f1or<\/a> is opening a second location at 19211 Huebner Rd in Stone Oak, confirms co-owner Brenda Sarmiento.<\/p>\n<p>Brenda and sibling Alex Sarmiento got a rocky start to their business, opening just four days before the 2020 COVID-19 lockdowns closed dining rooms throughout the city. Since then, they have built a cult following, especially from critics.<\/p>\n<p>In 2022, Texas Monthly Taco Editor Jos\u00e9 R. Ralat <a href=\"https:\/\/www.texasmonthly.com\/food\/san-antonio-best-tacos-al-pastor-in-texas\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">endorsed the restaurant<\/a>, later including it on the publication\u2019s list of the <a href=\"https:\/\/sanantonio.culturemap.com\/news\/restaurants-bars\/texas-monthly-top-23-taquerias\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">top 23 taquerias in Alamo City<\/a>.
