Performing Arts Fort Worth will feature nine Broadway shows during the upcoming 2026-2027 Broadway at the Bass Season, including many audience favorites and several making their Fort Worth debut.<\/p>\n
\u201cOur new 2026-2027 Broadway season celebrates milestone anniversaries for several shows that we\u2019re excited to welcome back to Bass Hall,\u201d said Performing Arts Fort Worth President & CEO Dione Kennedy in a statement. \u201cThis lineup has a mix of something for everyone – from well-known classic and blockbuster titles to the latest offerings on Broadway.”<\/p>\n
Kicking off the season will be the 20th anniversary tour of Jersey Boys<\/strong>, a jukebox musical that tells the story of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons. <\/p>\n Running November 3-8, 2026, the show features all of the group’s hits including \u201cSherry,\u201d \u201cBig Girls Don\u2019t Cry,\u201d \u201cOh What a Night,\u201d \u201cWalk Like a Man,\u201d \u201cCan\u2019t Take My Eyes Off You,\u201d \u201cBeggin\u2019\u201d and \u201cWorking My Way Back to You.\u201d<\/p>\n Next up will be two season add-ons, Mamma Mia! (celebrating the 25th anniversary of its Broadway debut) and Waitress (celebrating its 10th anniversary), both of which will be making return visits to Fort Worth.<\/p>\n Running December 1-6, 2026, Mamma Mia!<\/strong> <\/strong>is about a daughter\u2019s quest to discover the father she\u2019s never known as she brings three men from her mother\u2019s past back to the island they last visited decades ago.<\/p>\n Set on a Greek island paradise, the jukebox musical uses the music of ABBA to tell a story about a mother, a daughter, three possible dads, and a trip down the aisle you\u2019ll never forget.<\/p>\n In Waitress<\/strong>, running January 22-23, 2027, Jenna is a waitress and expert pie-maker who dreams of a way out of her small town and rocky marriage. When a baking contest in a nearby county – and a satisfying encounter with someone new – show Jenna a chance at a fresh start, she must find the courage to seize it. <\/p>\n The Tony-nominated musical features original music and lyrics by Grammy Award winner Sara Bareilles.<\/p>\n After a few months off, the season will return with another longtime favorite, The Sound of Music<\/strong> Running April 20-25, 2027, the Rodgers & Hammerstein classic is the iconic tale of a spirited nun who chooses not to live behind closed doors – and, by following her heart, learns to climb every mountain.<\/p>\n The first new show of the season will be Boop! The Musical<\/strong> In the show, Betty\u2019s dream of an ordinary day off from super-celebrity in her black-and-white world leads to an adventure of color, music, and love in New York City.<\/p>\n The family favorite Disney\u2019s <\/strong>Beauty and the Beast<\/strong> will come to town a few weeks later, running May 25-30, 2027, marking the first North American touring production of the beloved musical in over 25 years.<\/p>\n The production of the enchanting and timeless tale will feature all new sets and costumes. The show boasts the Oscar-winning and Tony Award-nominated score, including the classic songs \u201cBe Our Guest\u201d and \u201cBeauty and the Beast.\u201d<\/p>\n Running June 22-27, 2027 will be another new show, the five-time Tony Award-winning musical Buena Vista Social Club<\/strong>, which brings the iconic album to life.<\/p>\n It\u2019s been years since legendary singer Omara Portuondo last entered a recording studio. Once known as the \u201cQueen of Feeling,\u201d her voice was celebrated throughout Cuba – until she vanished from the spotlight. But when an ambitious young record producer brings her a rare opportunity, the elusive diva must finally reckon with her past.<\/p>\n A new-to-Texas show, Operation Mincemeat: A New Musical<\/strong>,<\/strong> comes next. Running July 20-25, 2027, the production originated in the West End in London and premiered on Broadway in 2025.<\/p>\n It\u2019s 1943 and the Allies are on the ropes. Luckily, they\u2019re about to gamble our futures on a stolen corpse. Singin\u2019 in the Rain meets Strangers on a Train in the fast-paced, hilarious true story of the secret mission that won WWII.<\/p>\n Ending the season will be The Outsiders<\/strong>, winner of the 2024 Tony Award for Best Musical. The production, adapted from S.E. Hinton’s seminal novel and Francis Ford Coppola’s film, is making its Fort Worth premiere after playing in other Texas markets the previous season.<\/p>\n In Tulsa, Oklahoma, 1967, Ponyboy Curtis, his best friend Johnny Cade, and their Greaser family of “outsiders” battle with their affluent rivals, the Socs. The Outsiders navigates the complexities of self-discovery as the Greasers dream about who they want to become in a world that may never accept them. It runs September 21-26, 2027.<\/p>\n All shows will be performed at Bass Performance Hall in downtown Fort Worth.
