LA PORTE COUNTY, Ind. (WNDU) – Michigan City Police is conducting a homicide investigation, after a 20-year-old man was found with a gunshot wound and later died at Franciscan Health Hospital. <\/p>\n
The La Porte County Regional Dispatch Center got the 911 call about a person who was shot at a BP gas station at 1302 East Michigan Boulevard, just before 1:30 a.m. <\/p>\n
Officers arrived and found the 20-year-old suffering from the gunshot wound, and first responders provided life saving measures to the victim, before he was transported to the hospital, where he later died. <\/p>\n
Detectives from the Investigative Division were summoned to the scene and are currently continuing to investigate this incident. <\/p>\n
Multiple articles of evidence are collected, and many witnesses have been interviewed, as officers and detectives continue to investigate and search for video surveillance. <\/p>\n
