As Los Angeles Dodgers fans count down the days until Opening Day 2026, there are plenty of events and activities going on around the city for fans to enjoy with their families, friends or even solo this weekend.<\/p>\n

There are multiple cultural events happening this weekend that will embrace culture and community with vibrant celebrations for Black History Month, Mardi Gras, and Lunar New Year<\/p>\n

The Slamdance Film Festival\u00a0will spotlight emerging filmmakers from around the world, featuring\u00a0141 films, including\u00a050 world premiere and representing more than\u00a050 countries. The 2026 lineup was selected from 10,000 submissions, with\u00a028 percent coming from Los Angeles-area filmmakers.<\/p>\n

This will be the second year Slamdance Film Festival is celebrated in Los Angeles. In addition to the film lineup, the festival will include community events such as Market Monday on Feb. 23.<\/p>\n

Lizzo is taking the Blue Note stage three nights in a row this weekend. There will be a full bar and food menu available, with a $20 minimum spending budget per person. This is a 21+ event.<\/p>\n

This is one of the most anticipated 2026 MLS season openers happening this weekend, between LAFC and Inter Miami. Inter Miami superstar Lionel Messi, who is arguably the most decorated soccer player in history, is expected to play on Saturday with the reigning MLS Cup champions against LAFC.<\/p>\n
