{"id":608702,"date":"2026-02-22T18:49:19","date_gmt":"2026-02-22T18:49:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/608702\/"},"modified":"2026-02-22T18:49:19","modified_gmt":"2026-02-22T18:49:19","slug":"seattle-kraken-tegna-announce-multi-year-extension","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/608702\/","title":{"rendered":"Seattle Kraken, Tegna announce multi-year extension"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Seattle Kraken and Tegna <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tegna.com\/tegna-and-the-seattle-kraken-extend-multi-year-partnership-to-deliver-free-over-the-air-games-across-the-pacific-northwest\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">announced a multi-year media rights extension<\/a>, continuing their regional sports agreement offering free over-the-air broadcasts on regional stations.<\/p>\n<p>The announcement continued <a href=\"https:\/\/awfulannouncing.com\/nhl\/seattle-kraken-tegna-prime-video.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">a deal initially signed\u00a0<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/awfulannouncing.com\/nhl\/seattle-kraken-tegna-prime-video.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">before the 2024-2025 season<\/a>, coinciding with the launch of the Kraken Hockey Network, which has made games widely accessible on Tegna\u2019s partner stations\u00a0and Prime Video.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Kraken, the agreement tripled viewership compared to previous distribution models while putting games in over 4 million homes across many affiliates. Fans outside of Seattle also will be able to watch games on Tegna stations KREM-KSKN in Spokane, KGW in Portland, and KTVB in Boise.
