EastEnders\u2019 Max Branning swoops in to deal with Johnny Carter and Callum Highway\u2019s new nemesis next week, hoping some sinister tactics will scare off Tim Walton for good. As Max takes revenge against the sleazy businessman, will Tim get the message and back off?<\/p>\n

When Max sees chaos unfolding for the Carters thanks to Tim\u2019s nasty games<\/a>, he makes it his mission to solve the problem by any means necessary. Posing as a cabbie, Max drives off with Tim and unleashes a car ride the villain will never forget\u2026<\/p>\n

“Max means business, and Tim is left at his mercy,” reveals our Walford spy. “We\u2019ve seen Max become protective over Johnny\u2019s mum Linda<\/a> recently, so perhaps it\u2019s no surprise that he\u2019s looking out for her son, too.<\/p>\n

“Although we can\u2019t imagine Johnny and Callum approving of his methods \u2013 Max is playing fast and loose with the law by effectively kidnapping Tim\u2026”<\/p>\n

The mayhem begins as Linda frets over problems developing in Johnny\u2019s relationship with Callum. Johnny is still miffed at Callum for dropping everything when he thought he\u2019d received a desperate letter from his ex, Ben, which later turned out to be a test from Tim<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Linda confides in her mum Elaine, dropping the bombshell that she knew all about Tim\u2019s scheme to gauge Callum\u2019s loyalty and could have stopped it. Elaine suggests keeping quiet about this, but Linda has other ideas\u2026<\/p>\n

“Linda tells Johnny everything, as she bitterly regrets being part of Tim\u2019s treacherous behaviour,” explains our insider. <\/p>\n

“Johnny\u2019s furious with Linda for interfering, but she still doesn\u2019t know about Tim\u2019s attempt to blackmail her son for sex<\/a> after recording incriminating footage of Callum. Will Johnny share the full sordid story?”<\/p>\n

Later, Linda turns up to berate creepy Tim as he meets up with Johnny to sign some paperwork. She then confides in Max about her latest family drama, unaware that he\u2019s come up with his own plan\u2026<\/p>\n

Max makes an outrageous bid to take control of the situation, pretending to be Tim\u2019s taxi driver and heading off with him. As Max\u2019s dark plan unfolds, he turns menacing \u2013 making it clear that Tim should never step foot in Walford again.<\/p>\n

Back on the Square, Linda warns Johnny that Max has taken Tim, but her boy has bigger issues on his mind as he prepares for an honest chat with Callum\u2026<\/p>\n

“Callum\u2019s livid when Johnny finally tells him everything that\u2019s happened behind his back,” says our source. “But Johnny insists that he\u2019s only ever tried to protect Callum and Lexi, which leaves the copper full of guilt.”<\/p>\n

Can the troubled couple finally call a truce and move forward? Or could Max\u2019s desperate tactics have serious consequences for them?<\/p>\n

EastEnders<\/strong> airs on Mondays – Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer, where most episodes drop early at 6am ahead of their TV broadcast.<\/strong><\/p>\n
