The northeast U.S. is bracing for an intense nor&#8217;easter with blizzard conditions, hea <\/p>\n<p data-v-2899190a=\"\">Monday\u2019s storm rewrote the record books.<\/p>\n<p data-v-2899190a=\"\">Central Park set a daily snowfall record with 19.6 inches measured between midnight and midnight. That total reflects snowfall in a single calendar day \u2014 not the entire storm accumulation.<\/p>\n<p data-v-2899190a=\"\">The park also broke a record on Sunday, when 8.8 inches fell.<\/p>\n<p data-v-2899190a=\"\">Since the start of the snow season on Dec. 1, Central Park has recorded 42 inches of snow. By this point in a typical winter, the city averages about 22.3 inches. That puts this season nearly 20 inches above normal.<\/p>\n<p data-v-2899190a=\"\">Across the wider Tri-State area, some communities saw well over 20 inches from the blizzard, leaving roads buried and trees coated in heavy snow.<\/p>\n<p>  <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/video-2026-02-24t065440.177.jpg\" alt=\"\" loading=\"lazy\" fetchpriority=\"auto\" data-v-97c6a84c=\"\"\/>  <\/p>\n<p original-article-post=\"\" origination_station=\"WNYW\" data-v-ec26887a=\"\" data-v-2899190a=\"\">Timeline:<\/p>\n<p data-v-2899190a=\"\">The region will stay mostly dry through Tuesday, though a few snow showers could brush parts of Sullivan County due to lake-effect activity.<\/p>\n<p data-v-2899190a=\"\">Steadier snow is expected to arrive after midnight and continue into Wednesday morning, potentially impacting the morning commute. Conditions should dry out by Wednesday afternoon.<\/p>\n<p data-v-2899190a=\"\">Another system could bring additional snow on Thursday.
