The Northman, from acclaimed director Robert Eggers, is now the No. 3 movie in HBO\u2019s Top 10 Movies worldwide<\/strong>, per FlixPatrol.<\/a><\/p>\n

The Northman is just behind Sinners<\/a> and A Minecraft Movie<\/a>, which hold the first and second place spots, respectively. In addition to Taylor-Joy and Skarsg\u00e5rd, The Northman stars Ethan Hawke, Willem Dafoe, Claes Bang, and Gustav Lindh. It was written by Eggers and Sj\u00f3n, and currently has a 90% critic score on Rotten Tomatoes with more than 350 critical reviews. <\/strong>Its audience score is slightly lower at 64%. The Viking epic earned $75.8 million worldwide against a budget of $70 million.<\/strong> CBR called The Northman a \u201cmodern day Viking hit.\u201d<\/a> The film is based on the old Norse tale of Prince Amleth (Skarsg\u00e5rd), whose father is murdered by his uncle. As an adult, Amleth is a Viking raider who is seeking revenge against his uncle. Despite the fact it was a box office bomb, audiences loved the movie for its action, its emotional and the cast\u2019s acting performances. Taylor-Joy shines as the Slavic sorceress, Olga of the Birch Forest.<\/p>\n

Another movie starring Taylor-Joy, <\/a>The Gorge<\/a>, surged on streaming earlier this summer and continues to do so. As of July 10, the horror movie from director Scott Derrickson and writer Zach Dean was in the No. 3 spot on Apple TV+’s Worldwide Top 10 streaming chart.<\/strong> The Gorge was just behind Fountain of Youth and Echo Valley, which were in first and second place, respectively. The Gorge also stars Miles Teller and Sigourney Weaver.<\/p>\n

The Gorge is ahead of the Brad Pitt, George Clooney film <\/strong>Wolfs,<\/strong> as well as Ghosted, The Family Plan, Greyhound, Napoleon, and Fly Me to the Moon.<\/p>\n

Murderbot, which follows Skarsg\u00e5rd\u2019s titular character, a rogue security robot who just wants to binge-watch his favorite shows, was the No. 3 most-watched show on Apple TV+ as of July 11.<\/a><\/p>\n

Created by Chris Weitz and Paul Weitz, Murderbot is based on a book series, The Murderbot Diaries, by Martha Wells.
