{"id":613778,"date":"2026-02-24T23:02:16","date_gmt":"2026-02-24T23:02:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/613778\/"},"modified":"2026-02-24T23:02:16","modified_gmt":"2026-02-24T23:02:16","slug":"legacy-er-and-urgent-care-in-frisco-medical-city-fort-worth-renovations-see-5-of-the-latest-permits-filed-in-the-north-texas-area","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/613778\/","title":{"rendered":"Legacy ER and Urgent Care in Frisco, Medical City Fort Worth renovations: See 5 of the latest permits filed in the North Texas area"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\tRenovations at local medical facilities are some of the new projects filed recently with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.<\/p>\n<p>Here are five of the most expensive permits filed with TDLR for North Texas projects in the past week.<\/p>\n<p><strong>1. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tdlr.texas.gov\/TABS\/Search\/Project\/TABS2026013261\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Parkhill Junior High<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tdlr.texas.gov\/TABS\/Search\/Project\/TABS2026013061\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">North Junior High<\/a> at <a href=\"https:\/\/web.risd.org\/home\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Richardson ISD<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Two more junior high schools are part of a total of six in the district that are under construction, according to TDLR filings. Construction was approved by voters through a 2025 bond, according to the <a href=\"https:\/\/web.risd.org\/home\/middle-school-transformations-update\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">district<\/a>. Construction is estimated to last more than 2 years.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Location: <\/strong>16500 Shadybank Dr., Dallas and 1820 Floyd Dr., Richardson<\/li>\n<li><strong>Estimated timeline:<\/strong> May 11, 2026-Dec. 30, 2028<\/li>\n<li><strong>Estimated cost: <\/strong>$119 million and $97.5 million<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>2. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tdlr.texas.gov\/TABS\/Search\/Project\/TABS2026013049\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Alliance Embraer MRO<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The commercial jet manufacturer, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.embraer.com\/en\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Embraer<\/a>, will have a new maintenance, repair and overhaul, or MRO, facility in the Alliance area in Fort Worth, according to a TDLR filing. Embraer hosted an event at Perot Field in October for the groundbreaking of a second MRO facility, per <a href=\"https:\/\/communityimpact.com\/dallas-fort-worth\/keller-roanoke-northeast-fort-worth\/transportation\/2025\/10\/20\/embraer-breaks-ground-on-second-commercial-airline-maintenance-facility-at-perot-field\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">previous reporting<\/a>. Construction for the latest filing is estimated to last one year.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Location:<\/strong> 220 Eagle Parkway, Fort Worth<\/li>\n<li><strong>Estimated timeline: <\/strong>March 15, 2026-March 15, 2027<\/li>\n<li><strong>Estimated cost: <\/strong>$55.3 million<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>3. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tdlr.texas.gov\/TABS\/Search\/Project\/TABS2026013066\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Garage and helipad<\/a> for Medical City Fort Worth<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A new helipad and parking garage will be constructed for Medical City Fort Worth, according to a TDLR filing. Lizzy Couch, the director of communications and community engagement at Medical City Fort Worth, said the project is expected to take more than a year and more information would be released closer to the start of construction.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Location: <\/strong>900 8th Ave., Fort Worth<\/li>\n<li><strong>Estimated timeline: <\/strong>Dec. 1, 2026-Feb. 4, 2028<\/li>\n<li><strong>Estimated cost:<\/strong> $41.1 million<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>4. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tdlr.texas.gov\/TABS\/Search\/Project\/TABS2026013110\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Legacy ER and Urgent Care Frisco West<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Frisco West site of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.legacyer.com\/locations\/frisco-west-tx\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Legacy ER and Urgent Care<\/a> is planned for a larger, state-of-the-art facility to better serve the growing community, media representative Corey Alexander said. The facility will have twelve exam rooms, one multi-exam room, a triage and a fast track urgent care suite according to a TDLR filing. The layout will be similar to Legacy ER and Urgent Care\u2019s Prosper location, Alexander said. Construction is estimated to take a little over a year.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Location: <\/strong>9505 Legacy Drive, Frisco<\/li>\n<li><strong>Estimated timeline:<\/strong> April 15, 2026-May 1, 2027<\/li>\n<li><strong>Estimated cost: <\/strong>$11.6 million<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>5. McIntyre Industrial Phase I buildings <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tdlr.texas.gov\/TABS\/Search\/Project\/TABS2026012937\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">1<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tdlr.texas.gov\/TABS\/Search\/Project\/TABS2026012941\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">2<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tdlr.texas.gov\/TABS\/Search\/Project\/TABS2026012939\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">3<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Three new shell buildings will be constructed in McKinney, according to a TDLR filing. Construction is estimated to take less than a year.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Location: <\/strong>E.
